Reload is great when you can make it work with the shorter ranges and know how to use the islands to block vision while still being able to fire. Now, with larger gun bloom you have to even more careful about ships or DDs spotting you through gaps or from your flanks, as the distance is larger. Often you don't want to park next to an island, but keep the island between you and all the targets while being able to fire over it. ![]() I found that DM as a typical island camper is susceptible to gun bloom. More gunbloom and issues with stealth because of that. However, the price for this is not immediately obvious: Range as so many stated helps in randoms as people in general seem to stay further away and engagement distances are apparently longer. Range, reload, and UU are all viable and have their pros/cons.
